POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Web/eCommerce Developer II replacement role may be either contract or FTE based and is responsible for configuring, coding and maintaining an eCommerce-based website, middleware and order management system.

This role uses independent judgment with minimal to no oversight to formulate and propose creative solutions to complex technical challenges. This role strives to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Working with our Web Tech team to design, implement, and maintain website, Order Management System and middleware codebase
• Become and serve as a subject matter expert in website, middleware and order management system platform capabilities and roadmap
• Become and serve as a subject matter expert on website page load speed via Yottaa (or similar), as well as session conversion optimization via Noibu (or similar)
• Become and serve as a subject matter expert on our cookie manager platform TrustArc (or similar)
• Troubleshoot technical issues across multiple platforms, including vendor point of contact.
• Build and maintain technical website, middleware and order management system documentation library, including topology documents and script comments.
• Implement the Americans Disabilities Act compliance website modifications.
• Utilize tools to ensure proper check-in and check-out of all source code.
• Partner with MIS team on technical issues, enhancements, and maintenance related work.
• Partner with the Marketing & Advertising team on content, catalog plans, and publishing.
• Partner with business stakeholders and executive management to understand complex business needs and requirements.
• Design, implement, and support technical aspects of marketing email platform, including data imports, email list management, and other technical platform issues as needed.
• Design, implement, and support website analytics as well as AB testing solutions.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Experience in AWS based development with Lambda, Node.js and hands on SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree focused on web development (HTML, CSS, JS), computer science, and/or IT is required.
• 3 or more years of software development or related technical experience is required.
• 1 or more years of professional experience in retail or related industry is preferred.
• Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
• Advanced expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, etc. plus experience developing and using API endpoints.
• Experience customizing a SaaS eCommerce platform (such as Kibo Commerce, Oracle CX Commerce, BigCommerce, or analogous) is preferred.
• Advanced functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) is needed to be successful in this position.
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to eCommerce applications.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards.
